After graduating from Wahpeton High School, he attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton. In 1975 Kelly moved to his present farm. He and his wife, Jolene, have 3 children, Brady, Heidi and Kayla, who are all active in the farm operations. Gus West- Farm Foreman Gus was born and raised on a farm south of Wahpeton, ND. He has been working on the farm since 1979. Gus is in charge of multiple tasks and he takes charge, making sure the crops are planted and harvested on time. Gus lives in Wahpeton, ND. He and his wife, Nancy, have two daughters, Valerie and Whitney. Joe Jansen- Manager of Brushvale Grain, Inc. Joe began working on the farm in 1988. In 1993, he became manager of Brushvale Grain, Inc. At Brushvale Grain, Joe takes care of all the elevator and seed related duties, including managing the stored grain. Joe is married and lives in Breckenridge, MN on a hobby farm. He and his wife, Sue, have one son Joshua, and two daughters, Jenna and Jessica. Paul Holmen- Market Development Manager Paul joined KTM Farm in 2001 and is responsible for the marketing of the crops produced on the farm. Paul is also involved in the marketing of food grade soybeans at Brushvale Seed, Inc. Paul has a B.S. degree in Agronomy from the University of Minnesota and has over 20 years of experience in seed and specialty crop production. Prior to joining KTM Farm Paul managed the identity preserved crop production business at Mycogen Seeds. Paul and his wife Debbie have 4 children, Aaron, Jonathan, Seth, and Angela. Mike Freeberg- Agronomist Mike began working with us as a Centrol employee in 1990. In 1999 Mike left Centrol and began working with our and another farm. Mike’s responsibilities include purchasing seed, fertilizer, and chemicals for all of our crops, he also monitors the crops chemical applications. Mike attended North Dakota State University and has a Bachelors Degree in Agronomy. Mike lives in Colfax, ND, with his wife Benae and his 3 children Ashley, Brianne and Cole. Renee Vertin- Controller/FSA Relations/Office Administration Renee has been working for the farm since 1998. Some of Renee’s duties include FSA relations, crop insurance, monitoring crop yields, and office administration. Renee is married and lives in Breckenridge, MN. She and her husband, Kyle, have one son, Jace. Brady Miller- Brady grew up on the family farm helping out with daily operations. As Brady grew older he learned to take on larger responsibilities, such as supervising chemical applications. Brady recently graduated from North Dakota State University with a Bachelors Degree in Agricultural Economics. He is also currently producing sugar beets on his own farm.
